La Playa!
No, I'm not talkin' Gangstah (which I'm not good at anyways), I'm talking espanol! La Playa means The Beach, which is where I am right now! after my sister adn her husband arrived last night (and much packing ensued) we woke up early this morning and drove to Corpus Christi, where we met Matt and ate at the "Original Whataburger", before driving down to South Padre Island (SPI :p) for a fun afternoon. We probably got here around 6:00ish, but I'm really not sure. We got some groceries at the pink Wal*Mart (soon there shall be pictures) and then went swimming. Matt introduced us to "Ultimate Ocean Frisbee" (my name, not his) which is great fun, especially since you can also call it "Find the Frisbee in the Surf that is the same Color as the Frisbee" or ftfitstiscatf for short. :) Lasagna and garlic bread for supper completed the early evening, and then a long period of chatting online (me) playing foosball (me and Matt) playing Wii Play (Scott and Hannah) playing Super Mario Smash Brothers for the Wii (Me and Matt, later Me, Scott, and Hannah, after they went and bought more Wiimotes) and this blog (me, obviously) to finish off the evening. yay for laptops!
crabs are seriously awesome. no, I've never eaten them, but ehy look cool, and they are fun to watch scuttling (is that a word?) around on the sand. or on your toes. or, much more fun, on someone elses toes. :) *evil smirk*
The SPI Wal*Mart (aside from being pink) is interesting in the fact that it has lots of things in tuorist sizes. Miniature salad dressings, dishwashing soap, detergent and spices, among other things, grace the shelves.
I will also have to upload a picture of the way my bed it. I got stuck with the livingroom, through series of necessities, and when I pointed out that I struggle with sleeping in a room with windows, my room-rearranging sister got on the task. One of the couches in the main room has it's little couch bed thingy unfolded, and the back to the windows. That not being enough, we propped up couch cushions on the sides of the back and draped a sheet over it all, creating a short canopy/light blocker/awesome cave effect. Squee! I'm now convinced I got the best sleeping arrangements in the place. Also, we put a whole lot of quilts and comferters under the sheets, so I have the softest bed to. :)
Enough blogging for now, more later. I hope I stay consistent with my updating! *crosses salt-encrusted fingers)
