Jan 31st State=Awesome!

Yesterday was our first day at state (mostly traveling) and it's been so much fun! First I went to class (and put up an update- no wait it didn't upload. darn. jk) and tried to update but left the wifi range before I could. then we drove aaall the way here and got to the AID at around 1 something. then we played at 2:30. Although we played very well, and had a lot of fun, we lost. Mom and me and Macy and Her Mom came back to the hotel. time flew by and we suddenly had to go back to AID to play at 5:30. This time we got second place. I felt sick till the third quarter, when I fell on my ankle going for the ball. for some reason my ankle felt fine, but my pinky toe was KILLing me. I sat out for a few minutes and just cried. it didn't even really hurt that much, but I couldn't stop crying. We are the only Under16Girls team who played twice yesterday.
when we finished our second game I went and watched the JH guys play. they always impress me with their shooting and passing skills, and they are very competitive. The guys won! During their game the score board messed up, and showed that they had 198 points to 8. Really they only had 5.
When mom and I arrived back at the hotel I went swimming with Pagina. We tried to make huge waves, and did front flips in the water. Mom wouldn't get in no matter what I did. :( Then we went to eat dinner at the Steak & Shake (mmm mmm good) and I got a burger with mushrooms on it, and a strawberry and banana shake. Delicioso! I sat with the Ohlamacher kids (who are really awesome!) Delaney and Presley. I finally figured out their whole families names in order! and I can match the names to the kids. who0t! the Oldest is Josh, he is on the JH guys team. he is very good at basketball, and quite funny. Then comes Shelby, who is amazingly mature for her age, and appears to be a huge help to her mother. Next is Caleb, who can be annoying, but is mostly nice. Samuel is the next o
ldest. Then David(I think). And Delaney is his twin? and then Presley and then Jonathan and the Micah. and the parents of course! Do you realise that that is 11 people in their family?!? !NO me digas! (si, te digo.)
All the Ohlamachers are wonderful. I am constantly amazed by how polite they are, even when they are being mean. :) They also ask the most random questions. I tried to get one of them by doing the same, but he fired back answers faster then I could think of new questions. *le sigh*
Then we came back to the hotel and got ready for bed(Ayrea and I played Pentago for a while). and when I woke up it was 11 oclock! *Le Gaspe!* I am gonno have to go do something soon, or I will fall back asleep.
more later!

Bball tournament. (Jan 31st)

I am so excited! we are going to the state basketball tournament, and leaving in just a few minutes! I thought I would type up a little report before I left. I might also tack on a poem at the end.

My mother, Macy, Me, and Macy's Mom (say that five times fast) will be riding to the tournament in just a few minutes. (now that I think about it, I am not so sure that Macy's Mom will be coming with us... it might just be mace.) we will be staying in a hotel, and my mother and I will share a hotel room with Ayrea and her mom. (awkward. four people, two beds. and one air mattress.) we will have at least three games, up to five, and I don't know when they are. but I am still really excited! there is an indoor pool at the hotel(whoop!) and it's going to be so much fun. I haven't been on a long trip with my mom in waaay to long. we used to always travel and visit my cousins in Kansas, but then they had to go and move to Taiwan. losers. (jk, I love my cousins.)

so yeah. I am hyped.
that's all for now! oh., and a poem. here ya go.

Nighttime Apology.

Now I lay me down to sleep.

I pray the Lord my soul to keep.

And if in the Morrow I do not awake,

I pray the Lord my soul to take.

But if in the morning I stand tall

I pray thee Lord don't let me fall!

And when in the morning I feel weak,

Help me remember, you're with the meek.

When I am helpless, far from strong,

I know with you my path's never wrong.

My Strength and Shield, my holy One

Keep me safe till the day is done.

My Rock and Tower, my gentle Lord,

Help me skillfully wield your sword.

Jehovah Jirah, my great Provider,

Gender age and color are no divider.

You love us all, your daughters and sons

From morning till the day is done.

In your arms I now am saved

I needn't act how I behaved!

Before I met you, it was an act

now, with my Father I have a pact.

You'll never leave or forsake me,

I know, you hung on that tree,

just to sign the dotted line

to make sure I will always be fine

You sacrificed, and shed your blood,

your grace sweeps over my like a flood

You are my Saviour, my loving master,

I needn't run away, faster and faster!

I get my strength from you alone

from where you sit, upon your throne

I praise you Lord for you are great!

From your daughter, sinner of late.

January 29th

I apologize(again) for missing so much. A horrible start to my new blog, I know. My only excuse is that I have been very busy, which really isn't a good excuse. I am in the play, "A Midsummer Night's Dream" which is by Will, of course. anyone who hasn't heard of this hilarious play, go read it. not. Anyone who HAS heard of this play, I got the role of Puck. Yes, yes indeed, I have the most awesome and cool role in the whole play. :)

I am also working hard with Basketball. The home school team I am a part of is going to State (TOMORROW!!!) and then to nationals later. not cause we are like, talented or amazing or whatever, and beat a whole bunch of people, but simply cause we will show up. w0ot! I am also excited cause my friend Jonathan (who is in my online class and I have never met) will be at nationals. hope I am almost as crazy as he has pictured me!

Something else I am doing and am very excited about is called the Cracked Pot. I am, in fact, a writer for an online magazine! To read my articles, simply go to www.crackedpot.org, and then look at features, or in the archives. I don't have anything up in features yet, but when the February edition comes out I will! I haven't gotten much sent in and published (yet) but hopefully a recent change in plans will allow me to do better about such things.

Also, I am.. um.. other then that my life is pretty boring. busy, yes, but boring. Wah. Don't let me forget to write a schedule! I need to be able to look at a sheet of paper and say, "Oh! in five minutes I will start math. after that I will do basketball." etc. Pray for me to feel more motivated about basketball, and pray that my small and insignificant laptop troubles will smooth out.

~*Praise God for the blessings he gives you, but remember that God is not a magic ring! you still have to work hard and believe harder.*~

Interesting.. *strokes imaginary goatee* Jan 15

I played a bball game versus A.C.S. today. It was very strange, because i went there for four years, and then I played against some of my friends, so.. Awkward turtle!! And the coach for A.C.S. remembered who I was... (prolly cause I was so annoying) and that was strange. but I had a lot of fun playing peopel I knew, and I kept Mallory from getting any points (W0ot, cause she's amazing) and it was fun. I think that I can safely say I am glad not to be at A.C.S. anymore, but taht I miss being there (like, if I went back now it would be awkward and bad, but I really needed to not be there for a while, but I miss some things about it. know what I mean?)
Anyways. yeah. taht's what is p with me. and i realised taht I am importing what I write here to my Facebook, so it was weird that I talked about it the way I did in my last post. anywho. hi anyone who is reading this! sorry it is so boring, when the title says interesting. I lied. :)

Why is it that guys grow really tall, really fast, and get deep voices? I think it is to make girls intimidated, and freaked out. yah, I saw some guyfriends I hadn't seen in a while. Can you say growth spurt???

neways. nuff for tonight.

Double Day Post. (January 12 and 13, 2008)

Yesterday was a basketball tournament. We played early and late, so I was there all day. In the first game I played very well, and we won. in the second game, I was sick, we all had bad defense, and we lost. our Varsity guys played very well (as always) and the JH girls and guys were awesome. I think it is interesting that some people are more effected by not playing then others. It seems that it doesn't matter whether we win or lose, what matters is the chance to play - that is how I feel. but some people (starters, who get to play the whole game when the score is close) feel that it is right and good that only they play when the score is close. they have the talent, they get to play. but many non-starters have talent too, so that argument totally doesn't work.

Anyways. I got to talk to some of my friends a lot yesterday, which was awesome, and I felt sick for an hour, which stunk majorly. ah well.

Today has been good so far. I got to talk to some people at church, and the sunday school lesson was pretty interesting. The sermon, however, seemed a little desperate. Is it just me, or is it strange that the pastor has a whole sermon on "what it means to be in our church" right before we change what our church is doing? I mean, I can see how he was showing how it's going to be different, but still!

I am going to finish up what I am doing online, and then go clean some, because we are thinking of inviting some people over tonight, and you know how moms are with stuff like that. Everything must be perfect or our friends won't like us anymore!!! aaah!

This here is my first post. (January 11, 2008)

Alrighty here we go. This is my first posting on this blog, and I probably won't write very often.
As much as I wish I could be consistent about such things, I can't.
I rest safe, however, in the knowledge that I probably won't disappoint many people. Any one who notices that this exists will probably show up once, and thus will not know how many times a week I post.
However! I will try to slip in a story of my life, a bible verse, a funny joke, one of my stories, a cool pic, or whatever, as often as I can. If anybody likes something I put up, feel free to email me about it at cittensrkute@gmail.com or comment on the post.
If I do end up writing often (more then once a month/week) thank my dad, cause he gave me his old laptop for Christmas. Thanks Dad!
And now, a short joke, so that anyone who has read this far won't be disappointed.
Two blondes are walking through the forest and they see a set of tracks. One of them says, "I think those are deer tracks." The other says, "No, I think they are moose tracks." They stand there and argue about it for a few minutes, and then they get hit by a train.
