Plans. April 26.

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord MY God.
The best laid plans of mice and men so often go astray.

Plans are interesting. We have a lot of them. We think ahead about marriage, graduating, moving, and so much more. Is that good? Is that bad? What's so wrong with looking forward? Well. Seems like the main problem is this - God is in control. We are not. We are human, and God is, well, God. So all our well thought out plans and deep hopes don't really mean that much. Losers.

Like the plans we have. My sister will soon be back from Colorado, and she will be living in Austin with her husband Scott(the awesome and great). We want to go to South Padre Island again with them, adn with my brother, Matt, but who knows how that will work. I plan all kinds of things. I often think about getting a job, which I can't legally do yet, and what it will be. I think about graduating, and college. I think about marriage (so far away) and raising children(even farther).

I plan. I think. I imagine. God is good.

  1. Making plans is good. Thinking about them and modifying them is good, too.

You just have to always understand that God is in control and he may change your plans, and so you must be flexible enough to deal with the disruption.

  2. You say a lot of things that sound smart at the time, brilliant later, and I realize they are pure gold years afterwards.
How many times did you have to tell me this before I got it? And I'm definitely still working on that.
    *sigh* thus is life
